Resistance: To judge and enslave
11/04/12 || Curt
“To Judge and Enslave” sounds like some heavy shit right? Must be some kind of super brutal death metal band right? Nope. Resistance is a deathcore band through and through. Now, I like all styles of metal but so far I’ve yet to find a deathcore band’s album that I’ve actually liked all the way through. I dunno what it is, but occasional pig squealing does not get me excited, so Resistance was not the band to turn me into a deathcore convert.
“To Judge and Enslave” will probably make deathcore fans wet their pants as all of the genre’s elements are there, but for those of us who either dislike it or don’t really give a crap about it, “To Judge and Enslave” is nothing special. Don’t get me wrong, the band and songs aren’t bad, they just aren’t for me. If you’re jonesing for the new Whitechapel though, this may be your thing. Otherwise skip it. Nothing on this album stood out for me and I honestly can’t think of a song that really stood out. There was a lot of average stuff on here though.
4/10. Kind of boring actually.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
